Cost Model Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced Cost Model Analyst

Job Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Cost Model and Financial Analyst for the Acquisition, Logistics, Technology Enterprise Systems and Services (ALTESS) Product Director overseeing a full range of planning, programming, budget and cost model analysis.
  • Analyzes programs that include common enterprise Information Technology (IT) services, project management, and managed IT services for ALTESS customers.
  • Estimates the costs of products and/or projects, resulting in models or analysis necessary to obtain approval to proceed, and to factor into the PD business plans, budgets, and other financial planning and tracking mechanisms.
  • Analyzes program support as it relates to cost and budget and identifies and resolves complex issues related to functional resourcing areas.
  • Supports coordination of cost model management and budget analyst activities to evaluate financial data and integrates results into a comprehensive evaluation and report using customized cost model analysis software.
  • Supports the development of annual and interim cost estimates for new and existing customers to ensure customer requirements are identified for funding.
  • Works with the ALTESS leadership to identify potential funding risks based on historical data, known issues, and a variety of changing support requirements. Plans, manages, designs, modifies, adapts, advises, and decomposes financial requirements and business processes relative to the development, implementation and execution of the IT financial management process and tool(s) for PD ALTESS

Job Must Haves

  • Recent or current Army budget experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in cost modelling and budgeting
  • 3+ years of experience working with cost model software tools
  • 3+ years of experience working with MS Excel
  • Active secret Clearance
  • Comp TIA Sec+ Cert, ITIL® Intermediate Level Certification, Computing Environment Certification (Server +, MSCA, MSCE)
  • BA degree or higher

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Preferred experience with Digital Fuel and/or Proven Optics
  • Familiarity with DoD budgets
  • 3+ years of experience working with cost model software tools
