The Client
The world's leading equities market. A broad spectrum of market participants, including listed companies, individual investors, institutional investors and member firms. On an average day, 1.46 billion shares, valued at $46.1 billion, are traded.
The Engagement
The client was frustrated by the intermittent nature of the performance problem they were having. The solution was not obvious and required a seasoned professional to conduct a rigorous analysis of the client's existing practices, policies, procedures, as well as underlying technology infrastructure.
Critical Services Delivered
Encode conducted an extensive Notes infrastructure analysis, including entries in the Notes log, Notes.ini settings, configuration changes made over the past six months, Domino backup schedules, customization of mail templates, third-party applications, server add-ons, anti-virus settings, and server task scheduling.
Several changes were implemented immediately that resulted in a large improvement in system performance, including the amount of data in the mail databases, specific system configurations, and the timing and managed backups to parts of the Domino System.
