The Client

Providing coverage to nearly half of the United States, this 15-million customer company has just under $10 billion in annual revenues. The company offers local telephone, long-distance, wireless, internet, and data services to both residential and commercial accounts. Its numerous subsidiaries provide an extensive list of communications and related products and services.

The Engagement

The client was replacing the middleware portion of a legacy system with IBM WebSphere Business Integration Server. The project had encountered significant delays when several standard application and database adaptors would not function properly.

Critical Services Delivered

Working with an IBM services team, Encode reverse engineered portions of the client's legacy system, modified and/or created new custom adaptors and then integrated them with WebSphere Business Integrator.
